Asmar Wood has carved out a name for itself back in Feb 11 1958 where it started as a manufacturer for finished and semi-finished products, doors, furnishers, and hardwood floorings. This family run enterprise has rapidly expanded and began its lumber and veneer trading in 1968. A small diversity of white wood, beech, and cedar was its main course back then, as to the panels, block-boards and plywoods were the only available.

Its main imports were from the European market. It was only until 1973 that our company expanded into importing Brazilian, west -African, and North-American species. Unfortunately, in 1975 during the Lebanese civil war our company was totally ruined.

Only through strong faith and commitment of its founder Elias Asmar it was rebuilt after a very short period. In 1977it restarted on a smaller scale. It was only after several years of hard work and profound navigation in the market, our company stood back on its feet and gained a remarkable market share.

Reflecting the ambition of his father, Reda had faith in his far- reaching vision about what the company could achieve if he built a new plant that specializes in wholesaling.

The vision came true, 16000 sq.m. of warehousing facilities were ready for use by the end of 1996. Today, Asmar Wood is a competitive enterprise devoted to innovation and excellence. What it grew into gave it a large market share reaching up to 70% in particular items.
